Steph here to announce our January Cream of the Crop!

We're here gearing up for a VERY big week here in California, but we couldn't start our week without thanking you all for your support and showcasing some of you fabulous designers!

I'm VERY excited to share our picks for this month's "Cream of the Crop!"

Before I share the winners, we would like to encourage everyone to join in on the fun! It's super easy to enter and you can enter as many times as you want! Show us your best work!

So..... here are three projects that caught our eye and stood out- well executed, creative, and inspiring!!

In no particular order, here are the three designers who are the "Cream of the Crop!"

Rochelle Washington

Rochelle was the Cream of the Crop last month and she blew us away again this month!! We LOVE this super creative card she shared with us over in the Neighborhood! How CUTE is this??!! She used Bit of Burlap and It Takes Love to make this AMAZING card! We LOVE it! Great job, Rochelle!!

Two Tears In My Bucket

Lisa Adametz

Lisa ROCKED the premier Market Fresh Kit LOVE BIRDS this month! She shared several cards with us that she created with the kit and this one was by far my favorite! We love that sweet couple and LOVE every little bit of this card! Thanks for showcasing the Love Birds kit so beautifully, Lisa!

Nicole Laha

I FELL IN LOVE with this project. In fact, I've been thinking about it for weeks... lol! I haven't had a second to totally rip off her art, but I will... trust me, I will... we love the HEART in this project and love the STYLE of this project and I just can't stop thinking about it. So here it is!

Here's how you can play along!!

The details:

The Cream of the Crop Spotlight is a merit based contest- we're looking for projects that catch our eye, but we also encourage stampers of all skill levels to upload their cards for consideration! We will be looking for projects that are well executed, use Market Street Stamps in a new and fun way, have great use of color, and have amazing overall design. Most importantly, we want to see what you're making!

• Deadline to get your project in will be the last Friday of the month
• Cream of the Crop Spotlight projects and winners will be announced that weekend!
• Spotlight winners will EACH win a $20 gift certificate to the Market Street Stamps store!
• If you are chosen, in addition to the $20 gift certificate to the Marketplace, your project photos will appear on the MSS blog (as well as a link to your blog (or gallery if you do not have a blog) )!
• You may upload/link as many projects as you like!

You have until 11:59 PM Central Time on February 24th to share your projects and be in the running for February's Cream of the Crop!

We are super busy getting ready for CHA this week, but don't worry- there's still plenty of stuff going on here on the blog! While you're waiting for your stamps to reach your mailbox, share some inspiration and creativity with your fellow stampers and link up to our PARTY!

You know we LOVE to see what you're making with your MSS stamps and this is by far one of our most popular contests! Why's that? Because of the FANTASTIC prizes!

Here's what you have to do:

• Create a new project with MSS stamps! It can be anything (cards, layouts, altered items, etc.)- be creative and have FUN!
• Link your project below by Sunday, January 29th at 11:59 PM Central Time
• Note: Your creations for this contest will not be considered for the Cream of the Crop contest. Each MSS contest or challenge requires a separate, unique entry to be eligible to win!

DESIGN TEAM SAMPLES

Almost everyone got in on the Bon Voyage and Travelscapes wagon and it's no surprise, these are two sets you will turn to again and again. They even work AMAZING with our February release next month... :)

Samantha Casey: Samantha's been coined the "Queen of Scenes" by her Peachy Keen Stamps sisters, and it's no wonder! You've gotta head over to her blog, too. She has LOTS of fun, creative ideas for these sets!

Jen del Muro: This white on white combo is absolutely perfect using both "Bon Voyage" and "Travelscapes"! Jen also used "Vintage Notepad" as her background which gives just the right amount of texture!

 

Amy Kolling: What better way to bid a friend or loved one a fond farewell than with a handmade card letting them know how much they'll be missed?  Amy's card is bright and cheery thanks to a fun twine-y sun and lovely die-cut clouds! Amy also used our "Pretty Perfect Grid" background stamp.

Stephanie Washburn: "Travelscapes" coordinate so perfectly with "Bon Voyage" plus they make excellent backgrounds, as Stephanie showcases here! Love the sweet heart she added to the car, too!


DoBea Alberts: Re-create a fun road trip using both sets like DoBea has here! Adding a bit of dimensional paint or a white gel pen makes the snow-capped mountains come to life!

Brenda Weaver: I love, LOVE, love Brenda's card! She created a darling cityscape with "Travelscapes" and strips of patterned paper. Be sure to head to her blog to look at the super cute layout she created, too!


Stephanie Muzzulin: Coloring or paper piecing Samantha's images are a breeze because each of them has lots of wide open space. Stephanie even pieced the windows to make them look like glass here - so fun!!

January Release - Sneak Peek 1 {Birds of a Feather}

Hello Hello!!!! 

I have been DYING to show you this release!

Tifany and Samantha are both making their illustrating debuts this month, and first up is Tifany's adorable images from "Birds of a Feather"! Tifany and I designed this set which works so well with the LOVE BIRDS Market Fresh Kit (coordinated by Steph!). I'm thrilled to be working with our Design Team gals more collaboratively to bring you the very best photopolymer in a variety of styles!

If you haven't joined us for a release week yet, here's how it works:

• We'll show you Sneak Peek images from our sets Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Sneak peeks are scheduled for 7 pm CST.
• On Thursday, our sets will be revealed and all the sets will go on sale at 7 pm Central Time. 
• For ONE WHOLE WEEK after that, new sets are 15% off individually or 25% off if you buy that month's bundle (all sets in the release). Nice!

DESIGN TEAM SAMPLES

Julie Day: I love Julie's paper pieced peacock and those scrumptious twine colors she used. She totally rocked the little accent hearts and one of the sentiments in this versatile set!

Michele Gross: Michele is all about CAS design she really makes that chickie stand out with this mix of our Hearts-a-Plenty background and the new Birds of a Feather set!

DoBea Alberts: DoBea created these three pretty cards using the same set and coordinating papers. Wouldn't this be a fabulous notecard set?

Jen del Muro: Jen's colors absolutely POP with her double-stamped birdie on this scrumptious tag! I adore the pops of green against the red and aqua.

Samantha Casey: Samantha's monochromatic pink peacock is absolutely lovely! What a perfect way to use shades of the same hue without going overboard.

Stephanie Muzzulin: I adore Stephanie's creative mix-and-match style and this card with accent tag is no exception! Using earthy tones, the pinks and blues stand out nicely, while the teal twine really pulls your eye into that cute little birdie!

Stephanie Washburn: Steph's rustic elegance is always inspiring, and this card is nothing short of gorgeous! I love how she used the papers from her Love Birds Market Fresh Kit to tie a perfectly coordinated look together in no time! 

Tifany DeGough: Last but not least, Tifany's CAS style is perfect to showcase her little birdie who is definitely "One Sweet Chick". Love that twine with the button!
